The Second Phase of the International BIKE-HEI Project Has Been Successfully Completed

Mariupol State University continues to foster an entrepreneurial mindset within its academic community through its participation in the international project “Boosting Innovative and Knowledge-Based Entrepreneurship in Higher Education Institutions” (BIKE-HEI).

This year, the project’s final meeting was held online. Mariupol University’s achievements were presented to the international partners by Iryna Sikorska, Director of the Center for International Education and MSU’s BIKE-HEI Project Coordinator.

The second phase of BIKE-HEI marked another important step toward building an ecosystem of stakeholders united by the principles of green entrepreneurship. New partnerships will strengthen collaboration between higher education and business, demonstrating that combining academic knowledge with practical experience is key to preparing professionals for today’s challenges.

A new initiative introduced this year was a Business Intensive for Women and Girls, which enabled aspiring and established entrepreneurs to expand their knowledge, exchange experiences with like-minded participants, and receive support for developing their own projects.

In addition to completing training programs for students, academic staff, and professional services staff, the university also announced the winner of the BIKE-HEI Innovation Competition. Among six projects submitted by the Mariupol University community, the winning proposal was developed by an MSU graduate and veteran. His startup focuses on creating an intelligent energy management platform for university campuses.

This autumn, the Mariupol University team will continue implementing the initiatives developed within the BIKE-HEI project, further advancing innovation and sustainable entrepreneurship.
