The European Union Information Centre

In 2015, the European Union Information Centre was founded using Mariupol State University as its foundation. Jan Tombinsky, head of the European Union's representation in Ukraine, and the ambassadors of France, Greece, Cyprus, and the Czech Republic were present at its inauguration.

Disseminating information regarding the European Union and its policies, aiding universities and research centres in student education, and conducting research on European integration are the primary functions of the centre.

On a regular basis, the centre organises informational gatherings that provide instructors and students with insights into the European Union's activities and its relations with Ukraine. Additionally, it showcases EU educational programmes designed for young scientists.

Everyone has access to informational materials at the EU Information Centre at Mariupol State University, including books, booklets, handbooks, and Eurobulletins. One can readily access a wealth of information regarding the European Union, including the European Council, the European Parliament, member states of the European Union, candidate countries for EU membership, technical assistance programmes in the EU Ukraine, Ukraine-EU relations, and numerous sources of information including Eurobulletins, Europe Days, and various information sources about the EU.

The primary objectives of the European Union Information Centre at Mariupol State University are as follows:

• to disseminate information pertaining to the European Union and its policies;

• to provide updates on the progress and growth of diplomatic ties between the EU and Ukraine;

• to educate audiences, graduate and doctoral students, and scholars regarding the activities and programmes of the EU;
