Admission of foreigners and individuals with no citizenships

Foreigners and individuals with no citizenship applying to Mariupol State University and seeking their bachelor’s or master’s degrees are taught in accordance with accredited educational programs.

Foreigners and stateless persons submit the following documents:

1. Application and questionnaire in the established form.

2. Original and copy of the document on previous education.

3. Original and copy of the document (appendix to the document on education) containing information on the success in academic disciplines.

4. Academic certificate issued by a foreign/Ukrainian educational institution (in case of transfer or resumption of studies, starting from the second year an academic certificate is attached).

5. Copy of the foreigner's passport or document certifying statelessness.

6. Valid medical insurance policy, unless otherwise provided by international agreements of Ukraine.

7. 4 photos sized 3x4cm.

8. Copy of the certificate of a foreign Ukrainian (if available).

*Documents listed in paragraphs 2-5 must have notarized translation into Ukrainian.

**Documents listed in paragraphs 2-4 must be certified in the country of issue in a manner officially applied in that country for such certification and legalized by the relevant foreign institution of Ukraine, unless otherwise is provided by international agreements of Ukraine.

 

Admission to Bachelor's degree programs

Admission of foreigners and stateless people who enter to obtain a bachelor's degree based on relevant documents on full secondary education is carried out at the expense of legal entities and individuals.

Enrolment of this category of applicants is carried out based on the results of exams in two subjects: the specified subject and language of teaching. The exam is conducted according to the programs of external independent evaluation in the relevant subjects.

The results of the exam are evaluated on a scale from 100 to 200 points for each subject. People whose level of knowledge in competitive subjects is evaluated not lower than 100 points are allowed to participate in the competition. The entrance exam is held according to the schedule approved and published by the Admissions Committee before the start of accepting documents.

The results of external evaluation of educational achievements of graduates of secondary schools, confirmed by relevant certificates of external independent evaluation with a score not lower than 100 points, are credited as the results of the exam.

Admission to MSU for training at the expense of individuals or legal entities is carried out based on the recommendations of the Admissions Committee according to the results of entrance exams.

 

Admission to Master's degree programs

Admission of foreigners and stateless people who have obtained a bachelor's degree or a specialist degree in a relevant field to study for a master's degree is carried out at the expense of individuals or legal entities. Enrolment is based on the recommendations of the Admissions Committee according to the results of entrance exams.

Enrolment of this category of applicants is carried out based on the results of exams in two subjects: the specified subject and language of teaching. The exam is conducted according to the programs of professional entrance exams in relevant specialties and language programs approved by the Academic Council of MSU.

Interview results are evaluated on a 200-point scale. Applicants who scored from 0 to 99 points on any entrance exam are not allowed to take the next exam or enrol in studies.

Admission to MSU for education at the expense of individuals or legal entities is based on the recommendations of the Admissions Committee according to the results of entrance exams.

Foreigners who are applying for a specific degree program are enrolled in MSU no later than March 1 (spring semester) and November 1 (fall semester) based on enrolment orders.
