MSU Student Secures Spot at European Boxing Championship

Vladyslav Vaskovsky, a Master's student in the «Physical Culture» program at MSU who has found temporary refuge abroad, has successfully competed in the Moldovan Boxing Cup.

The competition, held between August 29th and 30th in Orhei, brought together athletes under the age of 23. These young competitors were vying for the opportunity to represent their country at the next stage: the European Boxing Championship. Following a series of matches, Vladyslav emerged victorious, earning the right to compete at this prestigious international event.

This upcoming championship is not Vaskovsky's first foray into international boxing. In 2017, he represented Ukraine at the European Youth Boxing Championship, where he advanced to the quarterfinals.

I was ecstatic to win, as it marked my first victory at the senior level," said Vaskovsky. "I'm now fully focused on training and am determined to claim victory at the upcoming championship.
