MSU is a co-founder of Ukrainian Network for Recognition of Prior Learning under QUARSU project

Within the framework of the Erasmus+ project 'Support for the Recognition of Qualifications for Ukrainian Universities' (QUARSU), the community of Mariupol State University has been actively studying the best practices to improve the Ukrainian higher education system for five years.

The fruitful cooperation between the international initiative partners led to the official establishment of the Ukrainian Network for the Recognition of Prior Learning. On this occasion, the Mariupol University team travelled to Estonia in early November to visit the Tallinn University of Applied Sciences for the signing ceremony.

Mariupol University was represented by the QUARSU project coordinator, Professor Andrii Stoika, Dean of the Faculty of Philology and Mass Communication Iryna Melnychuk, Associate Professors Olena Peftieva and Svitlana Veritelnyk, Head of Human Resources Olha Blahinina and Director of the Centre for Human Potential Development Lidiia Korobchenko, who signed the declaration on behalf of the MSU academic community.

Establishing the network is a great achievement aimed at improving the recognition of qualifications and strengthening the link between education and labour market needs.

The work visit was the final stage of the project and enabled us to deepen our knowledge thanks to our European colleagues. During the training sessions and workshops, the participants from Ukraine familiarised themselves with the Estonian higher education and professional qualification system and learned about quality management in education, recruitment, and the intricacies of the educational process at the University of Tallinn.
