MSU expands opportunities within Transform4Europe
Being an associate member of the Transform4Europe Alliance of European Universities means that Mariupol State University (MSU) stands alongside like-minded institutions united in their mission to improve education across Europe. The invincible MSU team embarked on a working trip to strengthen strategic partnerships.
The first stop was Spain, where university representatives, Rector Mykola Trofymenko, Vice-Rector for Academic and Pedagogical Affairs Tetiana Marena, Director of the Center for International Education Iryna Sikorska, and Associate Professor of the Department of Political Science and International Relations Anastasiia Trofymenko, visited the University of Alicante.
MSU delegates participated in a meeting of the Alliance’s steering committee. Over two days, they tackled pressing issues and generated ideas regarding the legal coordination of the alliance and funding initiatives. This also provided an excellent opportunity to meet with leaders of European universities and discuss potential areas for collaboration.
The next destination was the Catholic University of Portugal, where Professor of the Department of Marketing and Tourism Andrii Stoika and a leading specialist in the Information and Public Relations Department Natalia Stoika joined the MSU team.
They got acquainted with the institution, engaged in discussions about mutual interests and strategised on shared priorities with colleagues from the Catholic University. A key outcome of this visit will be the Transform4Europe project office at the Portuguese university, with MSU playing an active role in its implementation.
During the working visits to European countries, MSU educators studied leading practices for incorporation into their new Development Strategy. After relocating to Ukraine's capital, MSU adopted a new direction, embracing the model of a community-oriented university. This model will form the foundation of the updated strategy, enabling the university’s academic community to unlock its full potential and advance its mission of serving the public.
