MSU helps shape the further development of the Alliance of European Universities
Last week, academic staff and students from Mariupol State University visited Poland to participate in events organised by the Transform4Europe Alliance of European Universities. The University of Silesia in Katowice, which is chairing the association this year, organised the event.
The purpose of the Polish higher education institution in this role was to establish the legal status of the Alliance and develop cooperation between the partner universities, in particular, Mariupol University as an associate member. During the Alliance's policy conference, the University of Silesia ceremoniously handed over the baton of the presidency to Vytautas Magnus University.
Representatives of Mariupol State University, responsible for the issues of international activity, took part in working meetings on strategizing to determine the further movement of the European Educational Association. MSU students also made their contribution. They recently joined the Transform4Europe Student Council, so the October event was a great opportunity to speak loudly about their home university to active young people and offer their own ideas for improving participation in academic mobilities.
By tradition, the T4EU Week had an educational and cultural focus: lectures, excursions, and workshops. On the eve of the trip, MSU students chose courses to develop speaking skills and enrich their knowledge about gender equality, cyber security, and the impact of people on the planet's ecosystem. They started their studies online, continuing in the classrooms of the University of Silesia.
An important event for the MSU community was the opening of the Mariupol University Center based on a Polish partner university. It will become a platform for implementing joint projects, promoting cultural ideas and unifying Ukrainian youth in Poland.
