MSU participated in the meeting of the Steering Committee of Transform4Europe in Italy

On May 21-22, Mariupol State University educators went on a partner mission to the University of Trieste in Italy. Tetyana Marena, vice-rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Affairs, and Iryna Sikorska, director of the Center for International Education, joined the meeting of the Steering Committee of the Transform4Europe Alliance of European Universities. During the workshops, MSU educators listened to the results of the committee's work over the past six months and discussed prospects.

Dr. Ineta Dabašinskienė, the institutional coordinator of the Transform4Europe Alliance at Vytautas Magnus University, spoke about strengthening cooperation with Mariupol University. From Ms. Dabašinskienė, with whom the community of Invincible University maintains warm friendly relations, the partner universities’ representatives found out about the visit of the Lithuanian delegation to Lviv for participation in the Strategic Sessions of Invincible University, the awarding of the MSU Honorary Professor title to Rector Juozas Augutis, as well as his meeting with the State Secretary of the USA, Anthony Blinken, who, while in Ukraine, visited the front office of Mariupol University.

Representatives of the University of Silesia in Katowice, including its institutional coordinator in the Transform4Europe Alliance, Małgorzata Myśliwiec joined the discussion. Together with a Polish strategic partner, the University of Mariupol plans to open the MSU Center, which is successfully operating based on the Vytautas Magnus University.

 During the meeting, those present considered the issue of general project management and the creation of a graduate network. Shortly, students studying at one of the Alliance member universities will receive a diploma not from a specific educational institution, but from the Alliance as a whole. To implement the idea, educators paid attention to discussing legal and organizational aspects.
