Rector of Vytautas Magnus University becomes an Honorary Professor of Mariupol State University
On May 15, the House of Scientists in Lviv hosted the Rector of Mariupol State University, Mykola Trofymenko, on the occasion of the upcoming professional holiday – Science Day. The academic staff of the Invincible University and European partners attended this solemn event.
The solemn ceremony of bestowing the diploma and coat of Honorary Professor of MSU upon Juozas Augutis, Rector of Vytautas Magnus University and a Lithuanian Academy of Sciences member, was an important part of the event.

Juozas Augutis is an esteemed scientist, an outstanding mathematician, and a wise manager. His scientific output is of great practical importance for energy security and critical infrastructure development. At the beginning of his professional career, he made efforts to revive Vytautas Magnus University after the restoration of Lithuania's independence, and today, holding the position of rector, Juozas Augutis skillfully develops the university based on modernity, diversity, and progress.
Vytautas Magnus University became the first international partner of Mariupol University after moving to Kyiv. Having started as support in difficult times and mutual assistance, the cooperation grew into a strategic partnership, the latter made it possible to develop the Ukrainian tertiary education according to the European example.
In a festive atmosphere, the Rector of MSU, Mykola Trofymenko, expressed his gratitude to the Lithuanian partners for their invaluable support and important contribution to the revival of the Invincible University in the capital of Ukraine.
