A Ukrainian-British company has acquired a marketing startup founded by a student from Mariupol State University

The youth of Mariupol State University incorporate their knowledge and creative ideas into innovative projects. In 2022, Danilo Orlov, a master's student in the Marketing program, became a co-founder of the marketing startup Adsme.

The development is designed to predict the effectiveness of advertising on social networks Facebook and Instagram for better product promotion. For this purpose, the team has created a technology that uses artificial intelligence algorithms to analyze visual and textual advertising content on Meta platforms.

The idea for the startup originated from a problem that Danilo faced while working in business.

I worked for a large American eyewear brand. We spent a lot of money on marketing tests. Then I met with my friend Viktor Levchenko, one of Ukraine’s top technical directors, and told him about my problem and I suggested that if only there were a device that could be used to test how well an ad would perform before launching it. My friend responded that it was indeed possible. From that moment, we very quickly developed the idea, within about 2-3 weeks we realized that the market needed it – and started developing the technology. Essentially, my friend was responsible for the technology, and I was responsible for marketing and promotion of the startup,

– said master's student Danilo Orlov.

Adsme advanced by leaps and bounds and within a few months of launching, the team managed to attract investment for development, including upgrading its own technology to collect more accurate data for clients.

The Ukrainian-British HR startup JobCannon became interested in the promising development. This allowed Danylo and his partner to conclude a lucrative deal to sell Adsme to integrate the technology into the recruiting platform to improve the matching algorithm, which suits employers and job candidates. The synergy between JobCannon and Adsme will lay the foundation for a global transformation of the hiring market, as existing algorithms are already outdated.

From the very beginning, the founders of Adsme intended to sell the startup, as they did not plan to build the company for decades. According to Danilo, it was a matter of a certain period, but not a lifelong endeavor. The MSU master's student plans to continue developing startups using AI and Web3 technologies.
