Recognition of foreign educational documents

The Ukrainian procedure for the recognition of educational documents issued by educational institutions in other countries consists of the following steps:

1) authenticity verification of any foreign educational documents submitted for recognition;

2) verification of the status of the educational institution (checking for certificate of state accreditation issued to this educational institution and its license effective as of the moment of issue of this educational document to you)

3) assessment of qualification or the period of study stipulated in the educational document and establishment of the equivalency of qualification in accordance with the requirements for educational and professional levels in Ukraine, of academic and/or professional rights.

The recognition procedure required to continue studying is carried out by a higher educational institution prior to the second semester of the first year of study.

The holder of the foreign educational document should submit the following documents to the International Students Office of the Mariupol University .

1) the certified copy of legalized foreign educational document and its certified Ukrainian translation (the original of the document if necessary)
2) the certified copy of legalized supplement to the foreign educational document and its certified Ukrainian translation (the original of the document if necessary)
3) copies of documents on previous basic/ completed secondary, vocational (vocational-technical), professional prehigher or higher education (if the is such education if required)
4) photocopies of personal identity documents of the holder
5) application
6) personal data processing consent

As a result of the recognition procedure, the holder of foreign educational document receives a certificate confirming the right to continue his/her education or work in his/her specialization area in Ukraine.
