Mariupol University staff is constantly learning new digital skills while travelling internationally. The invincible team visited one of the largest universities in Bavaria – Friedrich Alexander University in Erlangen.

In Germany, the University of Mariupol was introduced by the Dean of the Faculty of Psychology and Pedagogy Lenina Zadorozhna-Knyagnytska, the Deputy Head of the Department of Systems Analysis and Information Technology Hanna Martyniuk, the Associate Professor of the Department of Applied Psychology Olha Puchyna, the Senior Lecturer of the Department of English Philology Maksym Styopin and the Professor of the Department of Marketing and Tourism Andriy Stoyka – the coordinator of the project implementation.

For five days, the teachers participated in training and masterclasses organised by the German university together with the Institute of Innovations in Education. The participants learned about the specifics of organising hybrid education and created materials using multimedia technologies. They also practised the model of "flipped" classrooms, which involves an interactive approach to learning and focuses on students' individual work in an online environment to facilitate better knowledge acquisition.

For me, this trip was a great opportunity to share my experience in developing teaching materials, gain practical skills and learn about the principles of distance education in Germany. Such meetings inspire creativity and are incredibly motivating," says Maksym Styopin, a senior lecturer from Mariupol State University,
