Participants of DigiUni Project Report on Their First Achievements

The project “Digital University – Open Ukrainian Initiative” (DigiUni) is ongoing. To summarize the interim results of the international initiative, representatives of Ukrainian universities participating in the project traveled to Spain. Mariupol State University was represented by Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Affaires Tetiana Marena and Professor of the Department of Marketing and Tourism Andriy Stoyka.

The first meeting of project managers and, in particular, the coordination committee took place at the University of Alicante from July 22 to 26. Throughout the week, participants assessed the current progress toward project goals and strategic directions, analyzed needs and challenges, and discussed the prospects of the future digital ecosystem. DigiPlatform, the main objective of the project, aims to integrate digital technologies with education.

After presenting progress reports, the participants discussed their vision for implementing the ecosystem: requirements for curricula and their content developers, quality control, and monitoring.

From the very beginning, this project has stood out among Erasmus+ initiatives due to its ambitious goals and the complexity of the tasks involved. At the same time, the objectives of DigiUni align closely with the priorities defined in the Concept and Strategy of Digitalization of Mariupol State University.

We recorded progress in previous activities aimed at developing an integrated digital educational ecosystem in Ukraine, discussed the results of each work package, and agreed on the next steps. Ahead of us lies painstaking work in organizing training for digital content developers and creating digital courses,

– says Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Affairs Tetiana Marena.
