The community of Mariupol University attended the annual forum of the Alliance of European Universities Transform4Europe, a union of leading universities for driving changes in Europe. Heroic people of the Invincible University joined in principal discussions, including summing up the activities of T4EU and defining the future plans.
MSU rector Mykola Trofymenko, representatives of the Center for International Education: director Iryna Sikorska and leading specialist Kateryna Horiunova, and secretary of the student council Dmytro Pitskov took part in the forum.
During the meeting, the rectors of the partner universities confirmed their intentions to achieve the ambitious goals of T4EU, including improving the quality of education, deepening international cooperation, exchanging ideas for the professional development of academic staff, and students' acquisition of intercultural competencies. Addressing the academic community, Mykola Trofymenko spoke about the life of Mariupol University in the conditions of temporary relocation to the capital of Ukraine.
Iryna Sikorska took part in a panel discussion during which, together with fellow educators, she discussed the importance of identity for the European Union community. The MSU specialist also focused on the importance of identity for Ukrainians and emphasized the impact of the Erasmus+ program on the formation of European consciousness and values among students of the unconquered country.
Students also became active participants in the forum. Dmytro Pitskov presented the youth of Mariupol State University during the meeting of the student councils of the Alliance universities. Students exchanged the best practices of involvement in the management of educational institutions and considered the issues of inclusive education and employment.
For her part, Kateryna Horyunova, with the institutional coordinators of other universities, discussed the planned activities of Transform4Europe and the participation of staff and students in them.
More than a year ago, the invincible university received associate membership in the Alliance of European Universities, which enabled the university community to join the European educational and scientific programs.
