MSU community identifies further actions to support the results of INTERADIS project

At the end of August, representatives of the academic community of Mariupol State University visited Italy as part of the "Integration and Adaptation of Foreign Students" (INTERADIS) project. The European partner university Foggia organised a training course on sustainable development in the city of Vieste.

The project team from the University of Mariupol took part in the discussion, including the head of the department for working with foreign students at the Center for International Education, Lidia Shevchenko, and the department's experts Danylo Yegorenko and Maria Kustikova. They were joined by the Vice-Rector for Economic Affairs, Chief Accountant Anzhelika Doshchik, Head of the Operations and Technical Department Viktor Galkovskyi and Information and Public Relations Department Specialist Maksym Kladitin.

Working in groups, the educators discussed the key factors and requirements for attracting foreigners to Ukrainian higher education institutions. The participants emphasised the importance of holding adaptation events for foreign students, including cultural familiarisation meetings and language clubs. The question of how to use marketing as a means of popularising Ukrainian education was also raised.

Based on the results of the work, the MSU team has defined the main directions for obtaining the project results. These include the development of an international marketing strategy, the expansion of cooperation with partner institutions and the improvement of English language skills thanks to the English4Ukraine project.
