Considering the conditions of global challenges and the strengthening of international scientific cooperation, during the discussion, scientists regarded science as a factor of changes in life and how life itself changes science.

The educators from the University of Mariupol were among the speakers at the panel discussion "Research with Ukraine – the best practice for more intensive cooperation". During the speeches, the main attention was paid to the Ukrainian scientific system restoration to promote the integration of the unconquered country into the European Union after the war.

As an example of the invincibility of tertiary education in Ukraine, professor Andriy Stoyka talked about the forced relocation of Mariupol University, the devastating consequences of the Russian invasion on material and technical facilities, the great efforts of the academic community to build a new modern educational institution. Assistant professor, Olena Suzdaleva, shared her experience of teaching activities and the educational process under martial law.

It is worth noting that the panel discussion speaker was Malgorzata Mysliwiec, the Alliance of European Universities Transform4Europe coordinator at the University of Silesia in Katowice. In her speech, she emphasized the role of European educational institutions in the reconstruction of Ukraine. The University of Mariupol actively cooperates with the University of Silesia and knows firsthand about the strong support of Polish colleagues. The joint efforts of academic communities are aimed at the tertiary education development and the scientific realm of Ukraine inseparable from the European Union.
