MSU rector presented Ukraine at an educational conference in Albania

Last week, important events for Ukraine occurred in Tirana (Albania) – the Ministerial Conference of the European Area of ​​Higher Education and the Global Political Forum.

 The delegation, led by the Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine, Mykhailo Vynnytskyi, went to participate in the events from the unconquered country. MSU rector, Mykola Trofymenko, joined the event to represent national interests in the education sphere.

 The events brought together representatives of ministries, educational institutions, and student governments of 47 countries to discuss the future of tertiary education in Europe and beyond. The participants considered the issues of innovation, international cooperation, and ensuring education quality.

 Special attention was paid to the approval and signing of the Global Political Declaration and the crucial strategic document within the framework of the Bologna initiative – the Tirana Communiqué. It is a significant step for defining and implementing strategic priorities for European education development in the next three to five years, it is also a joint decision to continue blocking the Russian Federation and Belarus in the European space.

Thus, by adopting the Tirana Communiqué, the participating countries again emphasized their support for Ukraine in the struggle for European values.

It is nice to see the solidarity of all represented countries supporting Ukraine. I was amazed at the progress in the development of Albania and Tirana in recent years! This is a great example of how European integration and the desire to become a member state of the EU can become a national idea and unite the country,

Along with other events, the Ukrainian delegation attended several bilateral meetings with representatives of ministries and educators from European countries, including the events at Albanian universities.
