The associate professor of Mariupol State University received a grant for the project to strengthen female leadership
Natalya Marakhovska, associate professor of the Department of Romance and Germanic Philology, and Stella González-Arnal, senior lecturer at the School of Politics and International Studies, won a Gender Equality Partnerships grant from the British Council for the implementation of their joint project.
The collaboration between the two scholars began during a July workshop in Budapest. The event brought together representatives from the University of Mariupol and the University of Hull to identify common research interests.
During the partnership meeting, Natalya Marakhovska and Stella Gonzalez-Arnal discussed issues related to leadership, equal opportunities, and inclusive education. Subsequently, they stayed in touch and decided to develop a collaborative project and apply for funding.
The project implementation will span 2024-2025 and will involve sharing best practices, creating an online professional development course for MSU teachers, and organizing an international workshop at the University of Hull with participation from the academic community and the general public.
