MSU representatives discussed upcoming projects with British colleagues

At the beginning of July, the representatives of the Mariupol State University staff visited the University of Hull to participate in a scientific workshop on trauma and post-war renewal. The goal was to unite strategic partners to define follow-up projects.

The Invincible University was presented by the head of the department for work with foreign students at the Center for International Studies, Lidia Shevchenko, head of the Department of Public Management and Administration, Anna Chechel, associate professor of the Department of Cultural Studies, Stepan Yankovsky. During the teleconference, Associate Professor of the Department of Romance-Germanic Philology Natalya Marakhovska and Associate Professor of the Department of Practical Psychology Olga Puchina joined the discussion.  

On the first day, the Executive Director of Global Strategy, MDU Ambassador for Great Britain, Hilary Leighton, led the workshop devoted to cooperation between the University of Mariupol and the University of Hull within the framework of the Twinning initiative. For her part, Lidia Shevchenko told the audience about the work and challenges of the unbreakable community in the displacement conditions. Natalya Marakhovska and Stella González-Arnal, a senior lecturer at the School of Politics and International Studies at the University of Hull, were invited to share their experience in the preparation and implementation of their author's project on women's leadership.

The next day's workshop was dedicated to future project elaboration. For this purpose, educators from friendly universities formed working groups and discussed topics, goals and tasks in detail. The part of the workshop, where the further steps of implementing ideas into life, was useful.

Moreover, the MSU delegation got acquainted with the campus of the British partner, namely, the library, and attended the art expositions showcased in the exhibition center of the university.
