MSU will implement the project together with partners from the Transform4Europe Alliance

The advantages for Mariupol State University to be a member of the Alliance of European Universities ‘Transform for Europe’ (T4EU) are enormous! The perspectives of new international projects and initiatives – are among them.

Recently, MSU has joined the project ‘Boosting Innovative and Knowledge-based Entrepreneurship of HEIs’ along with three European universities, T4EU partners.

The University of Alicante (Spain) leads a team of partners that includes Saarland University (Germany), University of Primorska (Slovenia), Mariupol State University (Ukraine), META Group Srl and CESIE ETS (Italy), and the Association of Balkan Eco-Innovation (Serbia). Associated partners include UiT The Arctic University of Norway and the Alicante Science Park.

The fight against climate change requires bold action and inclusive approaches, which is why higher education institutions are increasingly seen as key players in innovating and training future change leaders. BIKE-HEI focuses on turning university research and ideas into green business ventures, with an emphasis on Artificial Intelligence as a tool to boost impact.

The project aims to create a dedicated Joint Innovation & Entrepreneurship Hub, offering mentoring, access to finance, support with intellectual property rights, internationalisation, and matchmaking. A key focus will be helping students and staff launch spin-offs and start-ups that align with Europe’s green transition.

The consortium will also map regional innovation ecosystems and deliver training programmes designed to strengthen institutional strategies and create long-term partnerships with industry, government, and civil society.

The project is embedded in the Transform4Europe Alliance and promotes the concept of Knowledge Entrepreneurs, individuals capable of connecting education, research, and innovation to respond to societal challenges. This ensures that the project’s impact will extend beyond its two-year duration, leaving a lasting legacy within participating institutions and regions.
