MSU summed up international project results in Tallinn
This year, Mariupol State University is successfully completing another international project “Stairway to Excellence: Strengthening Effective and Reliable Higher Education System in Ukraine.” To do this, Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Affairs Tetiana Marena travelled to Estonia as part of the Ukrainian delegation together with representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and higher education institutions.
The Invincible University joined the project in 2023. During this time, the educators attended events in Brussels, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Tallinn, where the final conference was held. During the week of 24-30 November, the participants learned about best practices for strengthening the higher education system, exchanged knowledge and experience with experts from Estonian universities and research institutions, and discussed opportunities for launching new joint initiatives.
The central event of the conference was the presentation of the project results. Tetyana Marena described the Mariupol State University experience in the report “From displacement to resilience: challenges and solutions for the university in relocation”.
Among others, the program included a visit to the Office of the President of Estonia, as well as an introduction to Estonian culture. The Ukrainian delegation visited educational institutions, including the University of Tartu, a long-standing partner of Mariupol University, and the Estonian Academy of Arts, where Pavlo Stepanenko, a master's student of the Cultural Studies program, studied for a semester.
