Lithuanian-Ukrainian Partnership: MSU Scholars Co-Author a Collective Monograph
The academic community of Mariupol State University continues to actively integrate into the global research landscape. A notable result of this fruitful international cooperation is the publication of the collective monograph Transformations, Challenges and Security, released in Vilnius, Lithuania.
The publication was prepared at the prestigious European higher education institution, Mykolas Romeris University, under the general editorship of Professor Žaneta Simanavičienė. Drawing on years of international and interdisciplinary academic dialogue, the monograph presents security as a distinct field of research across various spheres of human activity.
This monograph is the result of the joint efforts of Lithuanian and Ukrainian scholars. Its purpose is not only to present research in the field of security and contribute to the development of academic discourse, but also to provide a critical analysis of the research process and the specific features of scientific methodologies. By following this path, the authors also seek to deepen their own knowledge and enhance their research skills,
— Professor Žaneta Simanavičienė of Mykolas Romeris University emphasizes in the introductory chapter.
A significant portion of the collective work consists of contributions from faculty members of MSU’s Faculty of Economics and Law, including Professors Tetiana Marena and Svitlana Kalinina, as well as Associate Professors Svitlana Lanska, Khrystyna Mitiushkina, Valeriia Podunai, Klavdiia Takhtarova, Olha Bezzubchenko, Olena Pasternak, Viktoriia Ivanova, and Iryna Petryk. Their research explores the challenges and prospects of migration processes in times of contemporary crises, legal and economic aspects of ensuring national security, and the transformation of socio-economic systems under the influence of global challenges.
Our scholars have represented the university with distinction on the international stage by presenting in-depth research in important areas. Joint publications with leading European higher education institutions not only increase researchers’ visibility and citation impact but also strengthen Mariupol University’s position as a reliable partner in international grant-funded and research projects,
— emphasizes Svitlana Kalinina, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Law at MSU.
