MSU’s experience presented at PAVE project final meeting in France
Mariupol State University is completing its participation in the Peace Awareness through Volunteering and Education (PAVE) project. The final event was the International Peace Forum, which took place on November 18-19 in Paris.
The forum brought together project partners to exchange views and experiences in peacekeeping and volunteering to establish harmony in the world.
Participants discussed current threats to young people in Ukraine and initiatives that can help rebuild the country, they talked about community resilience, human rights, and volunteering. Peace agents had the opportunity to present their visions of conflict resolution and offer options for helping Ukrainians in their difficult fight against the enemy.
As part of the forum, Maria Kustikova, an expert from the Center for International Education of the Invincible University, delivered a speech “Future of European Peace: Current Threats Faced by Europe – the Example of the War in Ukraine” at the panel discussion. She shared her experience of evacuating Mariupol State University, in particular, she spoke about the support for students and communities and the university's role in post-conflict recovery.
Mariupol University joined the PAVE project at the invitation of the Local Democracy Agency (LDA) office in Mariupol.
