DigiUni: MSU educators studied the Czech experience of interactive education
Mariupol State University launched the project Erasmus + "Digital University - Open Ukrainian Initiative" (DigiUni). On April 22, the team of the Invincible University went to Brno, Czech Republic, to participate in the first working training.
The experience of European colleagues in digital education, innovation and educational ecosystems was taken over by the dean of the Faculty of Psychology and Pedagogy Lenina Zadorozhna-Knyahnitska, acting head of the Department of System Analysis and Information Technologies Hanna Martynyuk, who on the eve joined the working meeting on the project in Paris, associate professor of the Department of Practical Psychology Olga Puchina, senior lecturer of the Department of English Philology Maxim Styopin.
The training was held at Masaryk University. Together with representatives of the ten Ukrainian partner universities of the project, a team of MSU staff was able to learn about the pedagogical aspects of effective interactive education, which contained an in-depth study of the hyflex model, a flexible approach that combines the elements of full-time and online learning.
We saw the best practices of digitalization of the educational process. The immersion in virtual reality and familiarization with the possibilities of a virtual environment during the professional training of experts prompted serious considerations about using similar techniques in our teaching activities. In addition, the training is a great opportunity to meet colleagues from different Ukrainian universities with whom we work on the project, to discuss and exchange experience in organizing mixed learning,

The training participants were impressed by the hybrid teaching experience, which is used in the Czech university’s educational process. Masaryk University offers students a convenient educational format and ensures youth’s rights to such a choice. Additionally, the academic community of MSU got acquainted with the information system, the educators and students’ support system, namely, practical tools for online learning on the Moodle platform.
As a result of the training, participants of the DigiUni project have developed a plan for further joint work, which will help to get closer to the formation of an all-Ukrainian digital educational environment.
