Deepening cooperation with the University of Hull

The team from Mariupol State University made a working visit to the UK. From February 12 to 16, the invincible educators were in Kingston upon Hull to get to know better their British colleagues from the University of Hull.

The institutions signed a memorandum of cooperation in summer 2022. The relationship was established as part of the Twinning Initiative - the alliance of universities from the United Kingdom and Ukraine.

Rector Mykola Trofymenko, Vice-Rector for Scientific and Educational Affairs Tetyana Marena, Director of the Centre for International Education Iryna Sikorska, as well as experts from the Department of International Mobility and Project Activities Kateryna Horyunova and Maria Kustikova, Professor of the Department of Marketing and Tourism Andriy Stoyka and Professor of the Department of English Philology Olena Pavlenko traveled to the UK.

To bring cooperation to a new level in the areas of research, education, and mobility, MSU representatives met with the leadership of the University of Hull and its academic departments. Learning from the experience of their colleagues, the Ukrainian delegation had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the local flavor. They got acquainted with the city, learned about post-war reconstruction, visited the city council, and spoke with the mayor. The partners also summed up the results of the two-year cooperation under the Twinning project.
