DigiUni Strategic Dissemination Meeting
On 17 August 2026, Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University hosted a strategic meeting of dissemination coordinators of the Erasmus+ project "Digital University – Open Ukrainian Initiative" (DigiUni). Mariupol State University was represented by Professor Andriy Stoyka, the University’s DigiUni Project Coordinator.
The meeting brought together representatives of the partner universities to discuss approaches to project communication, dissemination of project results, and ensuring their sustainability beyond the project lifetime. The participants were welcomed by Ruslan Biloskurskyi, Rector of Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University, and Oleksandr Spivakovskyi, Rector of Kherson State University, who emphasised that the project’s true ambassador is its user – a teacher, student, or administrator for whom digital tools have become a natural part of the educational process. Therefore, the effectiveness of dissemination should be measured not by the number of news items or communication activities, but by the real changes the project brings to the university environment.
Olha Bohovin, representing the project coordinator – Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv – highlighted that DigiUni is currently the largest Erasmus+ project dedicated to the digital transformation of higher education in Ukraine and should become not only a successful initiative but also a foundation for long-term systemic change across the sector.
Particular attention was paid to the development of a unified project brand, coordination of communication activities among partners, the use of modern digital communication formats, synchronisation of content across partner universities, and strengthening cooperation through social media.
During the strategic discussion, Professor Andrii Stoyka stressed the importance of positioning DigiUni not only as a digital transformation project but also as an instrument for strengthening the resilience of the Ukrainian higher education system during the war and throughout post-war recovery.
DigiUni should be presented as a platform that strengthens the resilience of Ukraine’s higher education system. The digital infrastructure created within the project enables the rapid integration of students whose studies have been disrupted or relocated due to Russia’s military aggression into courses offered by other higher education institutions. This provides a practical mechanism for minimising learning losses and ensuring continuity of education even in times of crisis.

At the conclusion of the meeting, participants agreed on further coordination of joint communication campaigns, the preparation of recommendations for partner universities, and the development of a practical checklist for dissemination officers to enhance the effectiveness of communicating the project’s results.
The DigiUni project supports the digital transformation of Ukrainian higher education during martial law and the country’s post-war recovery. It is the largest Erasmus+ project ever implemented in Ukraine, bringing together 21 full partners and 5 associated partners.
More information about the project is available on the project website and its social media channels.
