Процеси реформування адміністративного устрою, державної служби та місцевого самоврядування в Україні тривають, що висвітлює запит суспільства на висококваліфікованих професійних і наукових кадрів – докторів філософії в сфері публічного управління та адміністрування.

У Маріупольському університеті підготовка докторів філософії (PhD) ведеться з урахуванням останніх світових тенденцій в сфері сучасної науки та освіти, вимог потенційних стейкхолдерів і Цілей сталого розвитку.

Протягом навчання здобувачі ступеня доктора філософії долучаються до наукових досліджень за підтримкою наукових керівників і професорсько-викладацького складу групи забезпечення, мають можливості апробації результатів наукової роботи та поглиблення знань з іноземної мови, долучаючись до роботи міжнародних науково-практичних конференцій і беручи участь у програмах академічної мобільності, стажуваннях, проєктах міжнародного співробітництва.

Наукові дослідження здобувачів освіти проводяться у межах затвердженої наукової теми «Публічне управління для сталого територіального розвитку» (№ державної реєстрації 0118U001700).
