The department specializes in training students in the field of preschool pedagogy and psychology, developing their professional competencies for successful work in preschool education institutions.
Among the key advantages and features of our department is the fact that we offer the latest methods, modern technologies, and an overview of the theoretica тfoundations of working with children from birth to six years old. The leading function of the department is the organization of pedagogical practice in preschool education institutions of various forms of ownership to gain pedagogical experience, working with children of various ages under the supervision of experienced teachers and practicing educators.
The department creates conditions for the development of creativity, adaptability, organizational and analytical skills that help students become successful specialists in preschool education.
In addition to theoretical training, students can participate in seminars, training, and master classes to develop practical competencies in planning, organizing a developmental environment, using innovative pedagogical methods and tools, as well as conducting various types of classes, educational activities, and individual work with children.
The Department of Preschool Education prepares specialists at two levels of higher education: the first (bachelor’s) and the second (master’s), allowing students to gradually improve their professional capabilities and develop deeper knowledge in the field of preschool education.
The teaching staff is a key component of the successful functioning of the preschool education department. This composition includes qualified and experienced teachers, scientists, and practitioners who carry out teaching, research, and development in the field of preschool education. The teachers of the department are involved in the development of state standards for preschool and higher education, programs for the development of preschool children, and the national strategy of inclusive education in Ukraine.
In the process of studying, students determine their career goals and plan how to achieve success in their professional activities through the formation of their own educational trajectory, that is, an individual path to achieve their educational and professional goals.
Today, the department works within the framework of the complex topic "Innovative and technological principles of training specialists to work in an inclusive environment of a preschool education institution." Representatives of the department are members of the working group for the development of the "National Strategy of Inclusive Education until 2030."
At the 1st World Science Championship in Dubai, among the works of 1,236 participants in 38 fields of science and judges—Nobel laureates—worked on the topic "Steps of the Apocalypse in preschool education in Donetsk region: 497 days in the fire of war and even more," which reveals the content of the scientific research of the preschool education department on the topic "Preschool education of Donetsk region during the period of martial law" and received a diploma as a silver medallist.
The department is an organizer of interuniversity round tables, conferences, and webinars.
