Department of Law
Non in legendo, sed in intelligendo leges consistent
(The laws depend not on being read but on being understood)
The history of the Department of Law dates back to 1995. It has undergone several reorganizations, but this has not affected its development. The latest reorganization took place in November 2022, when the Department of Public Law and the Department of Private Law merged. Today, the department has a strong staff with 14 members who hold doctoral and candidate degrees in law.
The department is involved in training specialists in law and international law. Since 2007, the Law Clinic has been operating at the Faculty of Economics and Law, which brings together law students to improve their practical skills by providing free legal assistance to socially vulnerable people.
